What is the dress code for your wedding?
Black Tie. We invite our guests to embrace the glamour of the occasion and dress for a summer evening at Somerley House. Rich jewel tones, elegant silhouettes, and a touch of drama are encouraged. We’ve created Pinterest inspiration boards for each event: London Looks, Sunset Garden Party, Wedding Looks, and Tea Party. These are intended as guidance, not requirements.
Are children welcome?
Children are warmly welcome throughout the weekend celebrations. For the wedding day itself, we ask that only adults attend the ceremony and dinner, though little ones are very welcome to join before and after.
Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food options?
Of course. We’ll be happy to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests throughout the weekend. Please share any dietary needs with us when you RSVP.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Due to the nature of the weekend and accommodations, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally included on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding.
When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving in London by Wednesday, June 17, if you plan to join us for the London festivities (plan for jet lag) Guests joining us only for the Somerley portion of the weekend should plan to arrive by Thursday or early Friday, June 19.
Will transportation be provided?
We’ll be providing transportation at select points throughout the weekend. For the journey to Somerley House on Friday, we will be taking a train as a group, though guests will be responsible for booking their own tickets.
At Somerley, transportation will be available for guests staying in the cottages and at Burley Manor to and from the main house for scheduled events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Otherwise, guests should plan to arrange their own travel, including flights, London accommodations, and transportation outside of scheduled events.

As our celebration begins in London and continues at Somerley House, we’ve included accommodation details for each part of the weekend on the Accommodations page.
Guests are invited to book their own stay in London for Thursday, while we are delighted to host accommodations for all guests at Somerley House on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening.
