Getting there
LONDON
Flying directly into London is recommended for the lowest rates and the widest availability of flight options.
We recommend arriving on the 17th of June to fully experience our weekend itinerary. Those joining us directly at Somerley House may choose to fly in on Thursday, the 18th of June or for less jet lag fearful early morning Friday, the 19th.
BY PLANE
Arrivals recommended to and from London Heathrow Airport (LHR)
FROM LHR
Car rentals are available from a variety of retailers at Heathrow. Roads will be narrow in the English countryside and around London so measure your metal accordingly.
Heathrow is a 30 - 40 minute taxi ride to downtown London. Taxis are readily available curbside with an average cost of € 80 - 100.
The London Underground is a more affordable transit option with easy airport access to the Elizabeth or Picadilly Lines.

BY TRAIN
Most of us will enjoy a leisurely train ride from London direct to Somerley House on Friday afternoon. If you’d like to join us we will be depart at 13:00 on the 19th to head south. Feel free to train on your schedule as preferred.
TRAIN: London Waterloo station to Salisbury station via the National Rail. Trains depart approximately every 30 minutes with no need to prepurchase faires.
FROM SALISBURY
From Salisbury taxis will be available at the station to shuttle you to Somerley. Salisbury is approximately a 30 minute car ride to the estate.
BY CAR
Private car transit is also available directly from London Heathrow, London or Salisbury station. Quote your ride here.

Please ensure your passport is ready to fly.
The UK also requires most international visitors to pre-register for a an electronic travel authorization (ETA). Please ensure to complete this process at least 2 weeks before your departure date.
